About me

Dutch - German - English, state certified.

Specialized in computer technology, software localization, mechanical engineering, automotive technology, hifi and car hifi systems, building construction, HVAC systems, transport and logistics, tourism and other fields!

Interpreting: negotiations, public relations, technical. Anywhere the client requires, with just a few exceptions (if you are prepared to carry the traveling expenses, of course). Very flexible: with suit and tie in manager style at formal occasions, but also in jeans on a building site. Associate Member of the Canadian STIBC, certification pending. Canadian company address, bank account, as well as German address and bank account available.

Being Dutch by birth I can translate and interpret into my mother tongue, naturally. I lived in Germany for more than 15 years, but also always actively pursued the mastery of English, passing the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency with A's in 1999. I passed the University of Mainz Translator's State Exam for German-Dutch and vice versa in 2004 and the German-English Translator's State Exam in Erlangen one year later. This enables me to translate into and out of 3 languages, particularly when it relates to technical subject matter.

I prefer working for customers that stress correct content and I make great efforts always to find the most suitable, commonly known expression or description.

	X Why did the menu change? The updates to the menu were made to make the site easy and more intuitive for visitors. Obviously, like any change, this may take a few days to get used to. The dropdown menus have been divided into two-dimensional panels with similar items grouped together under headings. The "My ProZ.com" menu was moved up here to simplify the main navigation, and to keep all of this type of information together.
