I operate as a freelance translator, combining my language education with the business experience that I have gained during the past thirty years. My language combinations are French and Spanish into English and I specialise in commercial and technical translation.

I enjoyed a highly successful career in sales, management and business development, the last fifteen of which were spent in an international environment. During this period I worked in a number of industry sectors, including automotive, IT, telecommunications and digital television. I was often required to translate source material into English.

Prior to moving into the translation profession on a full-time basis, I sat and passed the Diploma in Translation examination from the Chartered Institute of Linguists, of which I am now a Full Member. I also accepted a number of part-time assignments from a Spanish translation agency, in the field of travel and tourism.
