About me

My native language is Spanish, but throughout my life I have been exposed to a bilingual and bicultural environment in Spanish and English. I attended a bilingual school in Madrid with Irish teachers and I have worked in the USA. Besides, my wife is a native English speaker from Ohio, and we talk to each other at home only in English. I also hold a Certificate of Proficiency in English from the University of Cambridge as well as from the University of Michigan.

Since I was a child I have been interested in plants, especially in everything related to gardening. The Agricultural Engineering degree I am close to earning, and my broad working experience in public and private horticulture (I co-own a landscaping firm) support my passion for plants with technical and professional knowledge.

These circumstances in my life make me possess an excellent fluency, an extensive vocabulary and a vast knowledge of both the Spanish and English languages and cultures, particularly in the fields of gardening and horticulture.

This knowledge of both languages also gives me a strong background to translate and proofread, accurately and efficiently, other English texts in fields different to my fields of expertise (general/conversation, website localization).

I would be glad to put this expertise to use by helping you with your translation projects.
