I'm a tri-lingual professional translator/journalist, with 8-years experience in Software localization, Information Technology and Marketing. I translate from English and Spanish into Portuguese. I’m Brazilian, and have been based in Barcelona since 2001.

Clients – I work for agencies and direct customers from countries like the U.S., Hong Kong, Argentina and Spain, among others. Special projects - During eight months in 2008, I was engaged in the proofreading and quality control of a series of cardiology books edited by the American Heart Association and published in Brazil by Prous Science/Thomson Reuters. I have also been translating projects sponsored by the European Union aimed to boost the economies of small communities in Angola since 2005. I have translated two tourist guides - Milan and Jordan.

Resources – I’m experienced with most Cat Tools (Trados, SDLX, Transit, Idiom and Wordfast). I am a heavy Web user and work comfortably with both PC and Mac operational systems. Besides Microsoft Office pack, I have sufficient familiarity with Adobe CS3 Suite (Acrobat Professional, Illustrator and Photoshop). I’m also familiar with subtitling softwares like Transtation and Subtitleworkshop. I’ll be glad to take a test, if necessary.
