About me
In today’s world, with increasing use of the Internet, travel and enhanced international trade, excellence in translation is crucial.

A certified translator (OTTIAQ), my fields of expertise encompass governance, urban planning, architecture, sustainable development and environmental policy, social issues and general commercial work.

In addition, I have a broad knowledge base related to the social sciences, politics and contemporary society. Since I also have years of experience in copy-editing and writing in English, I am adept at ensuring that the translated text reads as if written originally in English, without any awkward phrasing or inappropriate diction. I am the creator of the US/UK to Canadian English style sheet for PerfectIt.
Information about PerfectIt style sheet

I have also taught seminars and university courses in urban issues, including urban ecology, the history of urban development and sustainable community planning. Active in a wide range of planning issues: historic preservation, environmental impact assessment, urban conservation, public participation, non-profit cooperative housing, urban design, long-range and facility planning. Public, academic, nonprofit, volunteer and for-profit activities have been undertaken in San Diego County, the San Francisco Bay Area (California), New Orleans (Louisiana) and Montreal (Quebec).

Holding a master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Montreal, I have been a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners since 1990. In 1995, I was recognized by Canadian Who’s Who for achievements in urbanism, and received a similar honor from the US publication, Marquis Who’s Who in 2000. Published works include the book Discover Montreal, Editions Libre Expression (1983, 1987, 1991), co-authored with Cécile Grenier.

I never miss deadlines, triple-check your work and provide impeccable results.

Of course I'll go beyond the cursory spelling and grammar checks of your word processing program. Your document will benefit from aural and textual review.
