Domain Name Purchase Agreement
The current owner of the domain name identified below (hereinafter referred to as "Seller") desires to sell all rights, title and interest in such domain name to the Purchaser, and the Purchaser desires to acquire same rights, title and interest in such domain name from the Seller. Therefore, it is agreed between the parties as follows:
1. The domain name to be transferred from the Seller to the Purchaser is ______________________ (referred to sometimes herein as "domain name.")
2. The Seller agrees to transfer to the Purchaser all right, title and interest in and to the identified domain name, including any trademark rights associated with the domain name itself and all Internet traffic to the domain name. 3. As consideration for the sale of the domain name the Purchaser promised to pay the Seller the amount of __________________. 5. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to in any way limit the right of the Seller to purchase, own, create and/or maintain another Website.
6. This Agreement states the entire agreement between the parties concerning the purchase and sale of the identified domain name and supersedes any prior agreements, understandings, or representations with respect thereto. Any addition or modification to this Agreement must be made in writing and signed by authorized representatives of both parties. This Agreement is made under and shall be construed according to the laws of the State of __________, U.S.A. In the event that this agreement is breached, any and all disputes must be settled in a court of competent jurisdiction in the State of __________, U.S.A.
7. If any of the provisions of this Agreement are found to be unenforceable, the remainder shall be enforced as fully as possible and the unenforceable provision(s) shall be deemed modified to the limited extent required to permit enforcement of the Agreement as a whole.
8. The effective date of this Agreement shall be the date signed by the parties. If the parties sign on different dates, the effective date shall be the date of the last signature.

Internet-Domain Kaufvertrag
Der derzeitige Inhaber der nachstehend bezeichneten Domain (im Folgenden "Verkäufer" genannt) beabsichtigt, sämtliche ihm an dieser Domain zustehenden Rechte an den Käufer zu veräußern. Der Käufer beabsichtigt, selbige Rechte an dieser Domain vom Verkäufer zu erwerben. Zwischen den Parteien wird daher Folgendes vereinbart:

Ergänzungen und Änderungen dieses Vertrages bedürfen der Schriftform und sind durch Bevollmächtigte beider Parteien zu unterzeichnen. Dieser Vertrag unterliegt den Gesetzen desBundesstaates __________, USA. Jegliche Rechtsstreitigkeiten im Falle der Nichterfüllung dieses Vertrages sind von einem Gericht mit zuständigem Gerichtsstand im Bundesstaat __________, USA, zu entscheiden.

Kais Leben schwimmt auf Super Bleifrei. Dieser Stoff treibt alles an was ihm wichig ist. Das Auto, den Mechaniker Job und die Beziehung zu Maja. Maja ist Musikerin. Früher hatten beide Spaß daran nachts mit dem BMW durch die Stadt zu cruisen und ihre neuesten Tracks zu hören. Mittlerweile ist es nur noch ein Ritual. Nicht das Einzige. Kais Leben dreht sich im Kreis aber ändern will er nichts.
Doch Kai lebt in einer Zeit, in der die Öl Resourcen endgültig zuneige gehen. Seine Welt wankt. Der Liter Benzin liegt bei sieben Euro. Kai gibt Gas und versucht der Realität zu entkommen.
Getrieben von einem Gedanken – Ich muss tanken!
Der Film handelt vom unaufhaltsamen Verlust einer Lebensweise und dem bewussten Verdrängen dieser Tatsache. Ein kleines Schicksal innerhalb eines gigantischen gesellschaftlichen Umbruchs. Ein Autonarr am Ende des Ölzeitalters.

Peak Oil ist der Zeitpunkt zu dem weltweit keine Erhöhung der Förderquoten mehr möglich ist. Danach werden wir mit jährlich sinkenden Erdölmengen auskommen müssen bis hin zur finalen Ölkrise. Es gibt Stimmen von Geologen und Naturwissenschaftern die behaupten, dieser Peak wäre längst überschritten und wir befinden uns bereits in der finalen Ölkrise. Erdölabhänige Industrie- und Wirtschaftsverbände sehen den Zeitpunkt jedoch in weiter Ferne. Sie fürchten um ihren Profit.

SPRIT Synopsis
Kai’s life is powered by premium unleaded. Everything important to him is driven by this stuff. His car, his job as a mechanic, and his relationship with Maja. Maja is a musician. Both used to enjoy cruising through the city at nighttime with their BMW, listening to the newest tracks. In the meantime, it’s just another ritual. And not the only one. Kai’s life is stuck in a loop yet he doesn’t want to change anything.
But Kai’s life coincides with a time in which oil reserves are finally running out. His world is coming to an end. Gas is at seven bucks a gallon. Kai hits the accelerator and tries to escape reality.
Fueled by one notion – Gotta get my potion!
The film describes the inevitable loss of a way of life and the conscious denial of that fact. An insignificant fate in the midst of gigantic social change. A car nut at the end of the oil age.
SPRIT Background
Peak Oil marks the point where worldwide increases in production rates are no longer possible. From that point on until the final oil crisis, we will have to get by on annually declining crude oil reserves. Some geologists and scientists argue that we passed this peak long ago and already are in the final oil crisis. Industrial and trade associations, however, dependent on oil and fearing for their profits, see this point in time somewhere in the distant future.

Columnists listen to our stories
It was the first time I ever cried at a conference. It happened right at the beginning.
Our annual National Society of Newspaper Columnists conference was at the Monteleone last weekend, and our theme was “New Orleans, We Haven’t Forgotten.”
Columnists from all over were here in 2004, and they wanted to revisit the Crescent City to see firsthand the effects of the storm.
I had asked Times-Picayune photographer Ted Jackson to be part of the opening panel on “Covering the End of the World,” and he began with a slide show of photos taken in the wake of the hurricane.
As soon as the lights were lowered and the parade of images began – families clinging to rooftops surrounded by water, a distraught man holding his puppy with the world in flames behind him – tears cascaded down my cheeks, and the memories came flooding back.
‘The Water don’t care‘
Early Friday morning, before the conference began, I made my way down to Woldenberg Park and took a walk along the Mississippi River.
It was a beautiful sight, the water all shimmery where the sun shone down on it, and offered no hint of the devastation that has been going on in the Midwest with levees breaking and towns flooding.
I came upon a massive marble statue, a truncated male figure with handless arms reaching towards the sky. I’d seen it before, but I’d never stopped to read the nearby plague:
“Old Man River” it says.
“A man with a past
Arms reach empty handed
God to a city in love with water.

As I wrote down those words, I thought about the Indiana man I’d heard interviewed after floodwaters rushed through his home and barn a week earlier.
“Everything you worked so hard for, and the water don’t care,” he said. “The water just don’t care.”
Hope and loss
My friends and fellow columnists shed a few tears last weekend, too.
They got used to hearing people say, “I lost my house” or “I lost my dog” or I lost everything.”
“Everybody I meet has a story,” Suzette Standring said.
When she asked the taxi driver what he had learned from the hurricane, his answer surprised her. He said the storm had taught him how to pray from his heart.
Don’t get me wrong. We didn’t just hear tales of loss and visit still-devastated neighborhoods.
We went to Musicians Village in the 9th Ward, the bright new neighborhood I think of as a rainbow of hope. We sang “I’ve Got a Home in Beulah Land” with Spencer Bohren, and we second-lined to the Aquarium of the Americas behind the Storyville Stompers. We dined exquisitely at Brennan’s and Nola, Dooky Chase and Arnaud’s.
And everywhere we went, we got the same reaction: Thank you for caring. Thank you for telling our stories.

Es war das erste Mal, dass ich jemals auf einer Konferenz geweint habe, und es geschah gleich zu Beginn.
Das Thema unserer jährlichen Konferenz der Nationalen Vereinigung der Zeitungskolumnisten, die letztes Wochenende im Hotel Monteleone statt fand, war „New Orleans, Wir haben nicht vergessen”.
Kolumnisten aus aller Welt waren im Jahr 2004 hier, und diese wollten nun die Crescent City erneut besuchen, um sich aus erster Hand ein Bild über die Auswirkungen des Sturmes zu machen.
Ich hatte den Times Picayune Fotografen Ted Jackson gebeten, Teil des Eröffnungspanels zum Thema „Über das Ende der Welt” zu sein, und er begann mit einer Diavorführung von Bildern, die in der Folge des Sturmes aufgenommen worden waren.
Sobald die Lichter gedimmt waren und die Parade der Bilder begann – Familien, die sich an von Wasser umgebene Hausdächer klammern, ein verzweifelter Mann, der seinen kleinen Hund hält, während hinter ihm die Welt in Flammen steht – strömten mir Tränen wie ein Wasserfall über meine Wangen herab, und die Erinnerungen fluteten zurück.
‚Dem Wasser ist es egal’
Am frühen Freitagmorgen, bevor die Konferenz begann, machte ich mich auf den Weg zum Woldenberg Park und spazierte am Mississippi entlang.
Es war ein wunderschöner Anblick. Überall dort, wo die Sonne auf's Wasser schien, schimmerte es und bot keinerlei Hinweis auf die Zerstörung, die im mittleren Westen mit Dammbrüchen und überfluteten Städten vor sich ging.
Ich kam an einer gewaltigen Marmorstatue vorbei, eine verstümmelte männliche Figur, die handlosen Arme gen Himmel ausgestreckt. Ich hatte die Statue früher schon gesehen, jedoch niemals angehalten, um die nahe gelegene Gedenktafel zu lesen:
„Old Man River” stand auf dieser.
„Ein Mann mit Vergangenheit
Arme ins Leere greifend
Gott einer Stadt, die ins Wasser verliebt ist.

Als ich diese Worte niederschrieb, dachte ich an den Mann aus Indiana, den ich in einem Interview gehört hatte, nachdem eine Woche zuvor das Flutwasser durch sein Haus und seine Scheune geströmt war.
„Alles, wofür wir so hart gearbeitet haben, und dem Wasser ist es egal”, sagte er. „Dem Wasser ist es einfach egal”.
Hoffnung und Verlust
Auch meine Freunde und Kolumnistenkollegen vergossen letztes Wochenende einige Tränen.
Sie hatten sich daran gewöhnt, Menschen sagen zu hören „Ich habe mein Haus verloren” oder „Ich habe meinen Hund verloren” oder „Ich habe alles verloren”.
„Jeder, dem ich begegne, hat eine Geschichte”, sagte Suzette Standring.
Die Antwort ihres Taxifahrers, als sie ihn fragte was er von dem Sturm gelernt hat, überraschte sie. Er sagte, der Sturm habe ihn gelehrt, aus tiefstem Herzen zu beten.
Verstehen Sie mich nicht falsch. Wir haben nicht nur Geschichten von Verlust gehört und noch immer zerstörte Wohnviertel besucht.
Wir gingen zum Musicians Village im 9. Stadtbezirk, dem strahlend neuen Wohnviertel, das für mich den Regenbogen der Hoffnung darstellt. Wir sangen „Ich habe ein Zuhause im Land Beulah” mit Spencer Bohren, tanzten in der "zweiten Reihe" hinter den Storyville Stompers zum Aquarium of the Americas und speisten ausnehmend bei Brennan's und Nola, Dooky Chase und Arnaud's.
Und wo wir auch hingingen, überall erhielten wir dieselbe Reaktion. Danke, dass Ihr gekommen seid. Danke für Eure Anteilnahme. Danke, dass Ihr unsere Geschichten erzählt.
