Centro de control: Instalación de un VideoWall para control y visualización de los diferentes subsistemas de la red. El videowall está formado por 6 cubos de 50” montados en una configuración 3x2. Se instalan monitores para la visualización de las cámaras de TV. Existen 6 monitores colocados en los laterales del videowall.
Red de Comunicación: Red SDH STM-1 (155 Mbps), donde se integran los diferentes subsistemas (Megafonía, Redes Ethernet, SCADA, Centrales Telefónicas). Mediante esta red se simplifican enormemente las comunicaciones, puesto que toda la información es multiplexada y enviada a través de 2 fibras ópticas. En cada una de las 45 estaciones está instalado un nodo SDH y en cada uno de los 8 puntos de rectificación (PR).
Terminal Punto de Venta: Sistema encargado de la gestión, control y expedición del billete para poder acceder a las estaciones. Se utiliza un ordenador industrial de altas prestaciones para realizar el control, 1 ordenador instalado en cada una de las estaciones (45 en total) y un servidor en el centro de control.
SCADA: Monitoriza, supervisa y actúa sobre las diferentes subestaciones eléctricas encargadas de suministrar la potencia, a la línea aérea de contacto del Trolebús. Se utiliza un ordenador industrial de altas prestaciones y reducidas dimensiones para realizar el control, 1 ordenador instalado en cada uno de los puntos de rectificación (8 en total) y un servidor en el centro de control.
Centrales telefónicas: En cada una de las estaciones se instala un teléfono para que el taquillero pueda comunicarse con el centro de control. Para gestionar todas las llamadas se instalan 5 centralitas, distribuidas a lo largo de la traza, y una, con mayor capacidad, en el centro de control.
Circuito de Cerrado de Televisión: Para controlar lo que sucede en las estaciones, se instala una cámara fija (45 en total) en cada una de las estaciones. La transmisión de video se realiza mediante fibra óptica monomodo. La señal de video, se visualizara en los monitores dedicados o en el videowall.

Point-Of-Sale (POS) Terminal: System responsible for management, control processes, and ticketing for access to stations. Use of a high performance industrial computer for control processes, a computer installed at each of the 45 stations, and a server in the control center.
SCADA System: Monitors, supervises, and acts on the various electrical substations responsible for supplying power to the trolley bus’s [Spanish name:Trolebús] overhead contact line. Telephone exchanges: A telephone is installed in each of the stations so the ticket clerk can be in contact with the control center. Five switchboards distributed along the route have been installed to manage all the calls as well as another higher capacity switchboard in the control center.
Closed Circuit Television: A fixed camera has been installed in each of the 45 stations to monitor what is happening. Video transmission is sent via monomode fiber-optic cable. The video signal will be displayed on dedicated monitors or on the VideoWall.

I have a degree in Anthropology and English from Oberlin College in Ohio as well as formal postgraduate training in translation from Adelphi University in New York.
