A bit about my background…
Growing up in a diverse neighborhood in New York City to British-American parents, I quickly learned the importance of adapting to the needs of a fast-paced multicultural environment. Today, I make my home in Madrid, Spain and spend significant time back in New York. I have a degree in Anthropology and English from Oberlin College in Ohio as well as formal postgraduate training in translation from Adelphi University in New York. I have also completed fieldwork in Ecuador and continuing education in Spain.
In addition to my more than half-decade of translation experience, my professional background includes time working as a manager in the social services field, collaborating as a technician for one of the first web radio stations, Microsoft networking and computer hardware consulting, and English teaching.
I am a “trotamundo,” someone who knows the global landscape: by the time I turned twenty-one years old, I had spent time in more than 10 Spanish-speaking countries, having lived for extended periods in Mexico, Argentina, and Ecuador in addition to Spain. With such multicultural experience, I am gifted with the opportunity to understand nuances from all over the Spanish-speaking world.
In addition to Spanish -> English translation, I offer…
Copywriting Services: I am pleased to have worked on helping businesses get to the heart of their products and provide value to their customers. I am presently collaborating on several marketing and promotion projects, including the iBotanika website, an innovative social network for plant lovers. Some of my recent projects have included FAQs, blog articles, website localization, corporate brochures, marketing studies, and consumer surveys. Whether you are looking for copywriting from scratch or a polished translation to enter the American market, I can do the job. | This user has earned KudoZ points by helping other translators with PRO-level terms.
