About me
A native speaker of Spanish, I worked in the building restoration field for over 30 years. As an Architect by education, I have a strong background on civil engineering and History of Architecture. Since 2007, I am a professional translator.

I offer you a high knowledge of the fields I translate as well as a true responsibility and accuracy based on the knowledge of my own language and research.

Of course, I translate what I master: architecture, construction, civil engineering and history of art, from French, Italian and English into Spanish. I have also some experience in other general fields as tourism.

My experience as a project manager helps me understanding your needs and requirements.

With a strong background in Civil Engineering and History of Art, I have worked as an architect for over 30 years. In Pamplona's Old town Restoration Office, I first got involved in Heritage Preservation. Since then I shared my practice with a colleague and worked on social housing and building restoration and finally I dedicated only to this particular field until I decided to definitely move into specialized translation.

I had nearly a bilingual elementary education in French and Spanish, and having lived in the USA, English was my third language. Later on came Italian, a culture I feel so close to my own, and a good approach to understand Art History and Building Restoration.

I naturally came into translation: an activity that now takes all my time.

Since 2007 I have studied linguistics, read, made many mistakes on my first translations as a youngster does, but I can now say I feel pretty comfortable in this new occupation so, in 2012 I decided to definitely close my practice to become a full-time specialized translator. As a perfectionist, I enjoy studying what I translate, investigating, and looking for the exact word, in this beautiful profession that builds bridges between different cultures: this is just what I intend.
