I am a freelance translator based in Australia. Mandarin Chinese is my first language, however, as I grew up and received education in Australia for most of my life, I consider myself a native speaker of both Chinese and English. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Advanced Science with Honours, having majored in Chemistry and Mathematics.

I qualified my proficiency in Chinese and Japanese in 2006 when I achieved Level 11 Advanced A in HSK (Mandarin Chinese Proficiency Test) and Level 1 in JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test). As of now I am concurrently studying towards a Degree in Dentistry and a Graduate Diploma in Professional Translation (leading to NAATI Professional Translator accreditation).

I have worked in a professional capacity as a freelance translator in Chinese/English, English/Chinese, Japanese/English and Japanese/Chinese translations for more than three years, across many fields including Finance, Law, Real Estate, Media/Advertising, Medicine and Technology. I am most interested in working with translations in the medical and scientific field, as they relate directly to my specialised subject areas.
