Constant quality controls revealed that on a certain number of Vectra C Station Wagon, MY 2004, the gas strut ball head bolt tears out of bracket during opening and closing that might result in customer injury.
Therefore we ask you to call in these vehicles to reinforce the ball head bolt on lower bracket, check the ball head bolt bracket on the tailgate and replace tailgate if necessary.
Only vehicles with power tailgate listed in the attached VIN Information files have to be reworked in the course of PDI or after customer notification. Please do not hand over vehicles, which have not been reworked.
Note: Expected failure rate for tailgate replacement is 1%.

Check date stamp of tailgate. Only tailgates with date stamp '0344' and without a grain mark behind have to be replaced.

Des contrôles qualité réguliers ont révélé que sur un certain nombre de Vectra C break, modèle de l’année 2004, le boulon à tête ronde du vérin amortisseur à gaz se détache du support pendant l’ouverture et la fermeture, ce qui peut entraîner des blessures à la clientèle.
Par conséquent, nous vous demandons de rappeler ces véhicules afin de renforcer le boulon à tête ronde sur le support inférieur, vérifier la fixation du boulon sur le hayon et remplacer le hayon si nécessaire.
