Pacientes predispostos à convulsão
Como com qualquer outra quinolona, o levofloxacino deve ser utilizado com extrema cautela em pacientes predispostos à convulsão.
Estes pacientes podem estar com lesão pré-existente do sistema nervoso central, ou em tratamento concomitante com fenbufeno e antiinflamatórios não-esteroidais similares, ou com fármacos que diminuem o limiar da convulsão cerebral, como a teofilina (ver item “Interações medicamentosas”).
Colite pseudomembranosa
A ocorrência de diarréia, particularmente grave, persistente e/ou com sangue, durante ou após o tratamento com levofloxacino, pode ser indicativa de colite pseudomembranosa devido ao microrganismo Clostridium dificile. Na suspeita de colite pseudomembranosa, a administração de xxxxx® deve ser interrompida imediatamente.
O tratamento com antibiótico específico apropriado deve ser iniciado imediatamente (por exemplo: vancomicina oral, teicoplanina oral ou metronidazol). Produtos que inibem o peristaltismo, ou seja, inibem a motilidade gastrintestinal, são contra-indicados nesta situação.
Tendinite
A tendinite, raramente observada com quinolonas, pode ocasionalmente levar a ruptura envolvendo particularmente o tendão de Aquiles. Este efeito indesejado pode ocorrer nas 48 horas do início do tratamento e pode ser bilateral. Os pacientes idosos estão mais predispostos à tendinite. O risco de ruptura de tendão pode ficar aumentado na administração concomitante de corticosteróides. Na suspeita de tendinite, o tratamento com xxxxx® deve ser interrompido imediatamente. O tratamento apropriado (por exemplo: imobilização) deve ser iniciado no tendão afetado.
Gravidez
Este medicamento não deve ser utilizado por mulheres grávidas sem orientação médica ou do cirurgião-dentista.
Estudos de reprodução em animais não levantaram qualquer preocupação específica. Entretanto, esta contra-indicação é baseada na ausência de dados humanos e devido ao risco de danos em estudos experimentais utilizando fluorquinolonas, incluindo o levofloxacino, nas cartilagens de organismos em crescimento.
Amamentação
xxxxx® não deve ser utilizado por mulheres que estejam amamentando. Na ausência de dados humanos e devido ao risco de danos demonstrado em estudos experimentais, causados por fluorquinolonas, incluindo o levofloxacino, nas cartilagens de organismos em crescimento, esta atitude restritiva é justificada. This medicine is contraindicated in the pediatric age group.
WARNING
Inform your doctor in case you have or have already had health problems or allergies, problems in the tendon or in case you use medicines for seizures.
Patients prone to seizures
As with any other quinolone, levofloxacin must be used with extreme caution in patients prone to seizures.
These patients may have a pre-existent lesion of the central nervous system or be under concomitant treatment with fenbufen and similar nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or with drugs which lower the cerebral seizure threshold, such as theophylline (see section“Drug-drug interactions”).
Pseudomembranous colitis
The onset of diarrhoea, particularly severe, persistent and / or bloody, during or after treatment with levofloxacin, may indicate pseudomembranous colitis caused by the microorganism Clostridium dificile. If pseudomembranous colitis is suspected, the administration of xxxxxx® should be immediately discontinued.
Treatment with specific appropriate antibiotic should be immediately initiated (for example: oral vancomycin, oral teicoplanin or metronidazole). Products inhibiting peristalsis, i.e. inhibit gastrintestinal mobility, are contraindicated in this situation.
Tendinitis
Tendinitis, rarely observed with quinolones, may occasionally lead to ruptures involving particularly the Achilles tendon. This untoward effect may occur within 48 hours from starting the treatment and may be bilateral. Elderly patients are more prone to tendinitis. The risk of tendon ruptures may increase with the concomitant administration of corticosteroids. When tendinitis is suspected, the treatment with xxxxxx® should be immediately discontinued. Adequate treatment (for example: immobilization) should be initiated in the affected tendon.
Pregnancy
This medicine must not be used by pregnant women without medical or surgeon-dentist advice.
Studies of reproduction in animals did not raise any specific concerns. However, this contraindication is based on the absence of human data and caused by the risk of damages in experimental studies using fluorquinolones, including levofloxacin, in the cartilage of growing organisms
.
Lactation
xxxxxx® should not be used by women who are breast-feeding. In the absence of human data and because of the risk of damages demonstrated in experimental studies, caused by fluoroquinolones, including levofloxacin, in the cartilage of growing organisms, this restrictive attitude is justified. (See section Contraindications).

3 – Including a case:
1- In the Litigation Menu, click on Include.
2 – Fill the fields case, client, opposed party, others if needed, and relationship of each; the system uses an auto-complete search; should you wish, you may enter the first three characters of the party name; click on Search button in front of the Relationship form. In case the party is registered, the system will display a combo beneath the party’s name.
3 – Proceed filling the case data and click on Include.
4 – In case the opposed party is still not registered in the system or was entered in a different form into the database, on the following display a highlighted message will be shown: “opposed party / others / client (company) doesn’t exist”. On the side, the Include button will appear.
5- Click on the button and the display of Opposed Party / Others / Client (assuming you have permission thereto). Enter the information and Save the data.
6 – Next, click on Confirm Inclusion to save this case file.
Obs. 1: only after the case file has been saved you will be able to include the other items related to the case such as appointments in the agenda and status, for example.
Obs. 2: for the registration of Joint Party (either clients (companies) or opposed parties) and another person in the “others” field, only AFTER saving the information of the case file, click on Author / Defendant, located on the top left field of the display. The display will open and will show which are the Joint Parties of the case; if you need to include another one, click on Include and, if you wish this one to appear as main Joint Party, select it and click on the Define as Main button.

1- No Menu Contencioso, clique sobre Incluir.
2 - Preencha os campos processo, cliente, parte adversa, outros, caso exista, e as formas de participação de cada um destes, o sistema utiliza uma busca de auto-completar, caso você queira, pode digitar as três primeiras letras do nome da parte, clique em buscar, botão localizado à frente da forma de partivipação, caso a parte esteja cadastrada, o sistema irá lhe mostra em uma combo que aparecerá a baixo do nome da parte.
3 - Continue preenchendo os dados do processo e clique em Incluir.
4 - Caso o nome da parte adversa ainda não esteja cadastrado no sistema ou foi digita de forma diferente do casdastro, na tela de confirmação a seguir, aparecerá a seguinte mensagem destacada: “parte contrária / outros / cliente (empresa) não existe”. Ao lado o botão incluir manualmente aparecerá.
5- Clique no botão e aparecerá a tela de cadastro da parte adversa / outros / cliente (desde que você tenha permissão para tal). Preencha a ficha e salve os dados.
6 - Em seguida, clique em Confirmar Inclusão, para salvar a ficha deste processo.
Obs. 1: somente após os dados da ficha do processo terem sido salvos, é que você poderá incluir os demais itens relacionados a ele como compromissos na agenda e andamentos, por exemplo.
Obs. 2: para o cadastro dos LITISCONSORTES (tanto para clientes (empresas) quanto partes adversas) e mais de uma pessoa no campo de outros, somente APÓS os dados da ficha do processo terem sido salvos, clique sobre o Autor / Réu, localizados no campo superior à esquerda de sua tela. A tela que se abrirá, vai demonstrar quais são os litisconsortes do processo, caso seja necessa´rio incluir mais um, clique em incluir, e se desejar que este deve aparecer como principal, selecione-o e clique na botão definir como principal.
