Le CAC 40 a évolué entre des bornes étroites cette semaine, oscillant entre un plus bas de 4 431,88 points et un plus haut de 4 521,83 points. L'indice phare de la Bourse de Paris a alterné les baisses et les hausses et gagne finalement 1,05 % sur la semaine. Les séances ont été marquées par la baisse des valeurs télécoms.
Le nouveau marché a subi les conséquences du malaise des valeurs « techno ». I1 a fortement chuté de 3,97 % clôturant à 1 020,72 points vendredi. Le volume moyen des transactions a été de 4,26 milliards d'euros (contre 4,66 milliards d'euros la semaine dernière).
Aux États-Unis, les nouvelles macro-économiques n'ont pas été à la hauteur des attentes des operateurs. D'une part, 1'indice de confiance des consommateurs de 1'Université du Michigan a reculé de 1,3 point en avril par rapport à mars pour s'établir à 94,4 alors que les analystes tablaient généralement sur une progression de 0,3 point à 96. D'autre part, les ventes de détail ont progressé de 0,2 % en mars par rapport à février, alors que les analystes tablaient sur une hausse de 0,5 %. Malgré ces résultats décevants, les indices boursiers américains et européens sont restés dans le vert vendredi, regagnant le terrain perdu la veille.
AGROALIMENTAIRE
Au ler trimestre 2002, le CA de Groupe Saveurs de France Brossard a quadruplé à 40,39 MEUR.
Le CMF a autorisé la mise en œuvre de la garantie de cours pour les titres de la société Cerestar, acquise à hauteur de 56 % par Cargill, au prix unitaire de 33 EUR. Par ailleurs, Cargill Inc. et Cargill Europe Ltd ont, de concert, franchi en hausse les seuils de 5 %, 10 %, 20 %, 1/3 et 50 % du capital (56,02 %) et des droits de vote (56,42 %) de Cerestar et ont déclaré 1'intention de poursuivre leurs achats. De son coté, Montedison a franchi, directement et indirectement, en baisse les seuils de 50 %, 1/3, 20 %, 10 % et 5 % du capital et des droits de vote de Cerestar.
La CDC Ixis Capital Market a franchi en baisse le seuil de 5 % du capital (0,17 % et des droits de vote (0,14 %) de Guyenne et Gascogne.
Au ler semestre 2001/2002, le RN p/g de Bonduelle est de 15,2 MEUR ( 24,6 %) tandis que le CA atteint 602,7 MEUR ( 19,5 %). Le groupe table sur une progression du CA d'environ 13 % pour 2001-2002.
Le CA 2001 de Charles de Cazanove s'élève à 36,35 MEUR ( 33,8 %). Le groupe attend un RN 2001 à 1'équilibre.
Beghin-Say a finalisé la cession d'Eridania a SaCoFin pour 270 MEUR hors dettes. L'opération permettra de réduire de 1'ordre de 410 MEUR un endettement net qui était de 1,17 and EUR fin 2001.
Le RN p/g 2001 de Fromageries Bel atteint 51 MEUR ( 26 %) et le CA s'élève à 1,74 and EUR ( 6,2 %).
AUTOMOBILE ÉQUIPEMENTIERS
Michelin a annoncé mardi les modalités d'augmentation de son capital réservée à ses salaries. Le prix sera de 35 EUR par action. Dans une première étape, cette opération toucher à 80 % du personnel et sera renouvelée en 2003 pour toucher les 20 % restants.
DaimlerChrysler pourrait augmenter, à partir d'octobre 2003, sa participation et acquérir la majorité dans Mitsubishi Motors dont il détient 37,3 %. Par ailleurs, DaimlerChrysler va vendre pour 215,3 MEUR les 40 % qu'il détenait encore dans Temic à Continental qui détiendra au terme de 1'opération 100 % de Temic.
BOIS-PAPIER
L'OPA conjointe de Saica et Mondi sur La Rochette a été ouverte mardi. Le conseil d'administration de la cible a conseillé d'apporter à 1'offre.
Le RN p/g 2001 de Groupe Rougier s'établit à 3,16 MEUR pour un CA de 156,7 MEUR.
COMMUNICATIONS MEDIAS
Le RN p/g 2001 d'High Co est de 1,90 MEUR tandis que le CA s'établit à 200,37 MEUR ( 74 %). Pour 2002, le groupe prévoit une croissance de sa marge brute supérieure à 10 % et une amélioration de 25 % de son bénéfice par action courant avant survaleurs.
Le CA 2001 de Médiagerance.com atteint 44,21 MEUR ( 15 % a périmètre comparable). La perte nette p/g après survaleurs est de 0,2 MEUR contre une perte de 2,03 MEUR en 2000. Le groupe a enregistré un CA provisoire de 11,3 MEUR au premier trimestre ( 1,8 %).
La perte nette 2001 de Réponse est de 7,9 MEUR contre un RN de 0,9 MEUR en 2000. Le CA est de 97,2 MEUR ( 27,5 %). Pour 2002, la société prévoit un CA compris entre 105 et 110 MEUR.
Le RN 2001 après amortissement des survaleurs de Prosodic est de 10 MEUR ( 7 %) et le CA de 121,1 MEUR ( 24 %). Pour 2002, la prise en compte en année pleine des acquisitions devrait faire progresser le CA de 40 %.
DISTRIBUTION
Au ler trimestre 2002, le CA de GrandVision s'élève à 149 MEUR ( 6,5 %).

The CAC 40 showed little movement this week, bouncing between a low of 4,431.99 and a high of 4,521.83. The leading index of the Paris Bourse traded highs and lows, finally gaining 1.05% for the week. The sessions were marked by a decline of the telecom stocks.
The Nouveau Marché suffered the consequences of the unease over the “tech” prices. It fell sharply by 3.97%, closing Friday at 1,020.72. The average volume of transactions was €4.26 billion (compared with €4.55 billion the previous week).
In the United States, the macroeconomic news didn’t live up to traders’ expectations. On one hand, the University of Michigan’s Consumer Confidence Index shrank 1.3% in April compared with March, leveling off at 94.4, while the analysts were generally banking on an advance of 0.3 points to 96. On the other hand, retail sales grew 0.2% in March compared with February, while analysts were banking on an increase of 0.5%. Despite these disappointing results, the American and European market indices remained in the black Friday, regaining ground lost the day before.
AGRIBUSINESS
For the first trimester of 2002, revenue of Group Saveurs de France Brossard quadrupled to €40.39 million.
The CMF authorized the placement of guaranteed prices for the shares of Cerestar, acquired at a 56% stake by Cargill at a price of 33 Euros per share. Moreover, Cargill Inc. and Cargill Europe Ltd hold, in concert, equities that crossed above the disclosure limits of 5%, 10%, 20%, 1/3 and 50% of the capital (56.02%) and the voting rights (56.42%) of Cerestar and have declared the intention to pursue their purchases. On its own, Montedison holds equities that directly and indirectly crossed below the limits of 50%, 1/3, 20%, 10% and 5% of the capital and voting rights of Cerestar.
The CDC Ixis Capital Market crossed the lower threshold of 5% of the capital (0.17%) and of the voting rights (0.14%) of Guyenne and Gascogne.
For the first half of 2001 over 2002, pro-rata net earnings were €15.2 million (up 24.6%) while revenue reached €602.7 million (up 19.5%). The group is banking on an advance of revenue of around 13% for 2001-2002.
2001 revenue of Charles de Cazanove rose to €35.35 million (up 33.8%). The group expects 2001 break-even net earnings.
Beghin-Say finalized the sale of Eridania to SaCoFin for €270 million, excluding assumption of debts. The transaction will allow a reduction on the order of €410 million in net debt which was €1.17 billion at the end of 2001.
2001 pro-rata share net earnings of Fromageries Bel reached €51 million (up 26%) and revenue rose to €1.74 billion (up 6.2%).
AUTOMOBILE COMPONENTS MANUFACTURING
On Tuesday, Michelin announced the terms of the capital increase reserved for employees. The price will be €35 per share. In the first stage, this transaction affects 80% of the personnel and will be renewed in 2003, affecting the remaining 20%.
Beginning in October 2003, DaimlerChrysler could increase its interest in and acquire the majority of stake in Mitsubishi Motors which it holds at 37.3%. Moreover, DaimlerChrysler is going to sell the 40% that it still holds in Temic for €215.3 million to Continental, who, at the end of the transaction will hold 100% of Temic.
WOOD-PAPER
The joint cash offer of Saica and Mondi for La Rochette opened Tuesday. The board of directors of the target recommended to the shareholders to tender their shares.
The pro-rata share of 2001 net earnings of Groupe Rougier was settled at €3.16 million for revenue of €156.7 million.
MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS
The pro-rata 2001 net earnings of High Co were €1.90 million whereas the revenue was €200.37 million (up 74%). For 2002, the group plans a growth of its gross margin greater than 10% and an improvement of 25% of its current earnings per share before goodwill.
The 2001 revenue of Mediagerance.com reached €44.21 million (up 15% on a like for like basis). The pro-rata net loss after goodwill was €0.2 million compared with a loss of €2.03 million in 2000. The group recorded provisionary revenue of €11.3 million for the first trimester (up 1.8%).
The 2001 net loss of Réponse was €7.9 million compared to net earnings of €0.9 million in 2000. Revenue was €97.2 million (up 27.5%). For 2002, the company projects revenue of between €105 million and €110 million.
The 2001 net earnings after amortizing the goodwill of Prosodic were €10 million (up 7%) and revenue of €121.1 million (up 24%). For 2002, recognizing acquisitions in the current year should send the revenue higher by 40%.
