Filtros de arena Bombas de contralavado de filtros Soplantes de contralavado de filtros Tanque Almacén de Agua a Fábrica Bombeo de agua de agua general de fábrica Estación potabilizadora de agua Almacenamiento de agua potable Bombeo de agua potable 2.2.4 Descripción de la Planta Tratamiento de agua de servicio a fábrica El agua llega desde la unidad de captación hasta el depósito de agua bruta. Este depósito realizado en hormigón tienen una capacidad de 2000 m3 y una altura total de 8 metros. El depósito se instalará en la esquina superior izquierda de la parcela destinada al tratamiento de agua de fábrica, de este modo se aprovecha el desnivel de la parcela existente para dar la diferencia de cota necesaria para la conducción del agua por gravedad al sistema de tratamiento. Desde este depósito el agua circula por una tubería común hasta un punto donde se realiza una bifurcación de la tubería para el acceso a dos decantadores-clarificadores en paralelo. La instalación se ha diseñado en dos líneas de tratamiento independientes que permiten adecuar el caudal de tratamiento a las necesidades de la instalación. Se realizará una dosificación en cada una de las líneas de hipoclorito sódico, de coagulante y de floculante previa a la entrada a los clarificadores. Al haberse elegido decantadores de tipo clarificador-floculador no es necesaria la instalación de depósitos previos de mezcla y maduración dado que la homogeneización de los aditivos y los procesos de coagulación y floculación tienen lugar en los propios clarificadores gracias a su mecanismo de recirculación interna. La dosificación de hipoclorito tendrá como finalidad en mantener una concentración de cloro adecuada para evitar la proliferación de algas y microorganismos. El equipo de dosificación constará de un depósito de almacenamiento de 25 m3 realizado en PRFV y tres bombas dosificadoras (2+1 en reserva). La dosificación de coagulante y floculante aumentará la efectividad del clarificador al producir el aglutinamiento de los coloides y los sólidos en suspensión formando flóculos de mayor tamaño que precipitarán en le fondo del equipo de decantación. This tank will be installed in the top left hand corner of the zone allocated for factory water treatment, and will therefore exploit the difference in level which exists there to provide the height difference necessary for the water to fall into the treatment system. From the tank the water will run through a main conduit until this splits into two channels in order to access two decanter-clarifiers arranged in parallel. The installation has been designed to incorporate two independent treatment lines to allow the flow rate of the water treated to be adjusted to the installation requirements. Sodium hypochlorite, coagulant and flocculant will be added in each of these two lines before the water enters the clarifiers. The choice of clarifier-flocculator decanters means that it is not necessary to install mixing and maturing tanks upstream, because the additives are homogenized and the coagulation and flocculation processes take place in the clarifiers themselves thanks to their internal recirculation mechanisms. The objective of the hypochlorite dosing is to maintain a sufficeent concentration of chlorine to avoid the proliferation of algae and microorganisms. The dosing unit will comprise a storage tank of 25 m3 manufactured in GFRP and three dosing pumps (2+1 standby). Dosing with coagulant and flocculant will increase the effectiveness of the clarifier since it will agglutinate the colloids and the suspended solids, forming larger flocs which will sink to the bottom of the decanter unit.

About me

Over 30 years translations experience

My translation experience is 9 years in shipping companies using Spanish and English daily (written and spoken). 19 years in an engineering company in Spain where I was doing all the technical, business, law and financial translations, mainly Spanish>English but also English>Spanish, and 3 years as freelance. In this time have translated 4 web pages, law documents, engineering, education texts, questionnaires, among other documents. I am member number 1522 of ASETRAD, the Spanish Association of Translators, Copy-editors and Interpreters.

I have been working with computers since 1989. I have made quite some presentations (in 1997 one of my PowerPoint presentations promoting an engineering plant was running automatically in a PC in Duro Felguera's stand in the PROMA-Bilbao Trade Fair). Designed brochures and catalogues for my latter company, and due to this experience I have no problems handling text, images, tables, graphics, etc. in Microsoft Office formats.

About my languages:
I have a native background in both languages. Ever since I started to talk, I have lived in a bilingual environment. First, Brazilian Portuguese-Spanish and then English-Spanish. Even though I was born in Spain, when I was 18 months my parents immigrated first to Brazil (5 years), and then to South Africa, where I did all my schooling. Finished in the year 1976 and started to work in a shipping agency in South Africa. In August 1977 we moved to Spain, and I lived 7 years in Madrid. In 1985 I got married and went to live in Germany for 6 months, then moved to Rio de Janeiro_Brazil (2nd time) for 2 years. Since 1988, I am living in Gijon-Spain.

My English has been kept active, since I left South Africa, as my home language is English due to my marriage with an English speaking person (25 years), and to my 30 years of professional work. I instantly switch from one language to the other with no problem and in total command of both. Therefore, I feel both English and Spanish languages as my mother tongues.
