NAAC CONGRATULATES NEWLY ELECTED PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA
The National Albanian American Council (NAAC) congratulates newly elected President Barack Obama on his historic victory to become the 44th President of the United States of America, and we also send our heartfelt congratulations to our steadfast friend Vice President Joe Biden. Additionally, we welcome the victories of the Co-Chairs of the Albanian Issues Caucus, Congressman Eliot Engel (D) and Congressman Mark Kirk (R), and we congratulate the victories of the numerous Senators and Congressmen who have been strong supporters of Albanian issues.
As we have with the previous Democratic and Republican administrations, NAAC looks forward to furthering our close collaboration with President Obama, his administration, the Senate and the House of Representatives. Today, soldiers from Albania serve bravely with US soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the people of Kosova remain forever indebted to the US government securing Kosova’s independence.
We also congratulate the Albanian American community for their active participation in the elections. As a vibrant community throughout the US we have made tremendous strides towards helping to build a better future for our children in the US and helping to support our families and friends in the Balkans.

Keshilli Kombetar Shqiptaro Amerikan uron presidentin e ri te porsa zgjedhur Barak Obama ne fitoren e tij historike duke u bere presidenti i 44rt i Shteteve te Bashkuara te Amerikes. Ne gjithashtu i dergojme urimet tona te perzemerta mikut tone Zevendes Presidentin Xho Bajden. Per me teper, ne mirepresim fitoret e kryetareve te Komisionit te Kongresit Amerikan per çeshtjet e Shqiperise kongresmenit Eliot Engel (D) dhe kongresmenit Mark Kirk, si dhe ju urojme fitoret shume senatoreve dhe kongresmeneve te tjere te cilet kane qene mbeshtetes te forte te çeshtjeve shqiptare.
Sikurse kemi bere edhe me administatat e meparshme Demokrate apo Republikane, KKSHA-ja do te vazhdoje te perforcoje mardheniet e do te bashkepunoje me Presidentin Obama, Administraten e tij, Senatin dhe Kongresin Amerikan. Sot, ushtaret Shqiptare sherbejne me trimeri perkrah ushtareve Amerikane ne Irak e Afganistan, ndersa Kosova i detyrohet pafundesisht qeverise Amerikane per ndihmen e çmueshme ne sigurimin e pavarsise se Kosoves.
Pergezojme se fundmi, Komunitetin Shqiptaro Amerikan per pjesemarrjen e tyre aktive gjate ketyre zgjedhjeve. Si nje komunitet vibrant e i gjithe shprendare ne Amerike ne kemi bere arritje te medha ne perpjekjet tona per te ndertuar nje te ardhme me te mire per femijet tane ketu ne SHBA si dhe per te ndihmuar familjet tona e miqte tane ne Ballkan.
