In terms of formal training, I received my B.A. in Spanish Translation from Rutgers University (Cum Laude) in May of 2008. I completed an additional major in Latin American Studies and a minor in Portuguese.

I work full-time from my office in Guadalajara, Mexico as a translator, interpreter, consultant and project coordinator. I recently completed a long term assignment with a US-based IT company, recruiting and hiring developers and programmers, managing and overseeing multiple web-based projects, and translating and interpreting legal documentation and correspondence between executives in the US and employees in Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil. I was hired initially to investigate opportunities in Latin America to open a production office, and after successfully opening and staffing a branch in Guadalajara, Mexico was hired full time to facilitate business development and strategy among an international and multilingual team.

I am now working with a start-up translation agency, Skala International, developing identity and promotional materials and overseeing an ambitious business strategy. My role in the newly-formed company includes project management, translation and interpretation.

My interests are quite varied. In the professional realm I have worked in the legal and IT fields, and in my personal life I enjoy art, literature, music, and outdoor activities. I also have lots of experience in advanced formatting and design for projects that require this skill set. I work frequently (and comfortably) in SDL Trados and WordFast.

I look forward to meeting and collaborating with more language professionals from around the world! The experience thus far has been great!
