About me

I have been working for over a year now as a freelance translator with two Irish companies. I mainly deal with the translation of documents for government bodies (e.g. RSA, County Councils, Dept. of Education).

I have completed a stage/internship with the European Commission as a translator in the Directorate-General of Translation (DGT) in the Web Unit. Included the translation of daily news articles (www.europa.eu) and the translation of web pages for EC Directorates. I worked in a professional environment while improving my time management and organisational skills.

I am a bilingual native speaker of Irish (C2) and English (C2) and am fluent in French (C1), having studied it in the National University of Ireland, Galway and gaining a BA Int. (Hons.) in Irish and French (through Irish).

Currently work in the Council of Ministers as an assistant in the Irish Language Translation section.

Hardworking translator who works within tight deadlines. References available upon request.
