I was born in 1977, my native language is Slovenian.
I finished my M.Sc. studies in electronics (2005) and a B.Sc. in electrical engineering (2002), both with excellent grades. I also have a Certificate of Proficiency in English, grade A (University of Cambridge).

As long as I can remember, I was really passionate about technology. This has helped me to build a comprehensive technical background, mostly in electrical engineering, but also physics and related disciplines. My second passion was for languages and I'm fluent in both English and German. I enjoy to write texts that are fluent and concise.

My freelance translator career started as a student part-time job in 1998. I was translating user manuals for a well-known mobile phone manufacturer, working through the excellent Amidas translation agency. Ever since, I was able to combine my passions for technology and languages to provide excellent technical translations on time, every time. In year 2005, I started to translate full-time and grounded my own company, which is now my sole source of income.

My deep technical background (M.Sc. in electronics) enables me to take on even the most difficult of technical documentation projects with confidence. Because of this specialization, I restrict my services only to the areas I'm proficient in. I ensure the quality of the delivered translations not only through careful working, but also thorough automated QA procedure. I'm also proud to work with a very accomplished linguist (professor of Slovenian language) for proofing, because I believe this to be an essential step in ensuring quality translations.
