DescriptionITNMB plays an important role as an official body that undertakes translation, interpretation and transfer of information in various languages at national and international levels. We provide translation and interpretation services to the public and private sectors as well as individuals. We also conduct translation courses to train translators and enhance their skills.



The Malaysian National Institute of Translation (ITNMB) was established on 14 September 1993 to provide the infrastructure for the creation of a translation industry in Malaysia, in line with the countrys Vision 2020.

As a limited company, its share capital is fully owned by the Malaysian Government under the Ministry of Finance (Incorporated). Administratively, ITNMB is supervised by the Ministry of Education. In line with the Companies Act 1965, the objectives, jurisdiction, board members and matters pertaining to the functions of ITNMB are governed by the Memorandum and Articles of Association approved by the Registrar of Companies.



ITNMB is entrusted as the sole official body in Malaysia to undertake translation, interpretation and transfer of information at national and international levels.
