Introduction
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) continues to propose new initiatives to make its operations more efficient, to ensure that the patent application process promotes innovation, and to improve the quality of issued patents. This session has been developed to provide full transparency to the public about these ongoing efforts.
The purpose of this course is to provide you with basic information about filing a utility patent application. A patent application is a complex legal document, best prepared by one trained to prepare such documents. This course is designed to give you full command of Patent terminology.
This first module offers a one-on-one, 3 hours on-line training session on patents translation, covering the most required topics.
Those interested in getting an insight into patent translation will find this course engaging and full of useful information.

| MARIA GUSTAFSON | | Bio: Maria L Gustafson has a MA in Translation and a Language Doctorate Degree, she also graduated as a Simultaneous/ Consecutive/ Telephonic Interpreter. She has studied the Roman Law, the American Legislation and the Common Law in the UK. She’s been teaching and translating for 28 years and has given seminars in different cities such as Chicago. She’s is the author of the Bilingual Legal Terminology Dictionary and of the Bilingual Legal Terminology Course.
