English (University of Uppsala, verified) Spanish (University of Uppsala, verified) English to Swedish (Linnaeus University) Spanish to Swedish (Uppsala Universitet)
My freelance career as a translator started in 2011 when I combined interpretation jobs between Spanish/Swedish with translation jobs from English, Spanish and French to Swedish. After two years I decided to focus on translation only and my two strongest source languages: English and Spanish. Most of my experience in the translation field has been translating marketing material, organizational communication and tourism/travel-related material. I also have some experience in localization of websites, apps and games. My favorite projects are localization, transcreation and copywriting as this is highly creative.

As I have previously worked as a Key Account Manager in technical sales, I have a vast experience from B2B sales and marketing. I have also studied Industrial Management and am familiar with the Logistics area (Lean and Six Sigma). Being a mother of three (ages 7, 9 and 17) as well as having the work experience as a language teacher at high school has been very helpful when translating apps and games for children as well as educational material. With two years working as a hotel receptionist in Mexico I also know the hospitality business from the inside, and am familiar with travel/tourism related material.
I take continuous development seriously and am determined to learn more every day. For this reason I continue to study the languages I work with whenever I have the chance, as well as explore as much as possible about creative writing and PR/Marketing. In August 2018 I began studying at University again to get a Masters degree in translation, which was finalized in June 2020.
I work with the CAT-tool Trados Studio 2021 and have experience working in MemoQ and Memsource. An interest in technology has been with me since the early days, from when my grandmother gave me a Commodore 64, which has given me a true interest from start and a good knowledge of technology in general. Both PC and Mac are used in my work and I have access to both iOS and Android tablets/cell phones. Social media is interesting to me and I use Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin on a regular basis.
My base is in the Swedish countryside where I have my home office. I work from English and Spanish into Swedish, my mother tongue. My main focus lies within translation and transcreation.
If you find my background interesting and believe that I can be of help on your future projects please don't hesitate to get in touch. I will be happy to hear from you!
