Claudio,

based on particular requirements at my work, I have to use for certain languages Trados, while I am using across for others at my work.

I am using at my work Trados 8.20 Build 835 (Professional version) and across 4.0 SP3d Package version 6.

On Windows XP I did not encounter any issues whatsoever, and I am often using them concurrently (prepping one language in the background with Trados while translating at the same time in across).


At home I am using Vista and across 5 package 8 and Trados 8.20 Build 835 (Freelance version) because although I switched completely to across, on occasion something needs to be converted.


At home I also have no issue running both concurrently.

As I work with Across starting from 3.x versions (although in very irregular way), I never had this kind of prblems (several machines, several software versions).
As you uninstalled Across, it's difficult to make some serious diagnostic...
