Hello All,

I will try to describe my issue as best as I can:

I am working on a job for an agency. For this job, I need to translate four documents that are almost identical.

I started with the first document. There were already many 100% matches in CrossTank (remote server), but I had to change most of them.

When I pre-translate the other documents, CrossTank inserts the old, inaccurate translations, and I have to insert all the changed translations manually from the Search Center box at the bottom.

Is there a way so I can tell Across which matches to insert when pre-translating in case there are several 100% matches? Otherwise, I'll have to select all the correct matches manually, which can take a while when you're facing 9,000 words...

Thanks in advance!

Profile settings - crossTank/pretranslation Aug 10, 2010

Open "Tools -> Profile Settings", then open "crossTank/pretranslation" tab.
There is an option "Make pretranslation when multiple 100% matches exist" with dependent checkboxes, one of which is "use last modified translation".
Please check its state and enable, if needed.

Thanks Aug 10, 2010

Cheers, worked. However, I had to close the project first and change the settings from the home screen.

Problems with modified texts or translated text with a huge average of similar repetitions Aug 31, 2010

I have the same problem, BUT the right parameters are set on the home screen!!!!
I tried also to modify the following parameters:
"State of pretranslated paragraphs" (Zustand fuer voruebersetzte Absaetze):
"Processed" (bearbeitet)
"Final state of paragraphs" (Finaler Abstatzzustand)
but nothing has changed.
In the project in menu
exist the followings options:
Tag all paragraphs (Alle Absaetze markieren als)
Processed (Bearbeitet)
Translated (Uebersetzt)
but these are options to be set by the end of the translation, if I understand well.
And the same I suppose is true of menu File (Datei),
Save closed translations in CrossTank (Abgeschlossene Uebersetzung in CrossTank speichern),
Indeed, these options work by the end of translation, but what before?
Thank you in advance for your help.
