Hi all,

I'm completely new to Across.

Is it possible to have all translations for recognized source terms inserted into the target box in one step?

Thanks!

Hans

I don't understand U exactly.
What do you mean?
• If it's to import your terms from old files/times into across,
then U should take "crossTerm manager" your terms must be in certain format (csv,...)
• If it's to import your old translations/segments into across,
then U can get "crossTank manager" & align old segments/sentences etc. into your own across; they should have also certain formats (tmx, ..).
• If it's to insert your segments into your text, which U translate now
just copy & paste them into your across.
Else

Inserting all terms into active segment Oct 13, 2010

Hi and thanks for replying.

What I meant was this:

If the term base contains:

Äpfel=appels
Birnen=peren
Orangen=sinasappels

And the active segment is:

Diese Woche im Angebot: Äpfel, Birnen und Orangen

I'd like to have it 'pretranslated' (auto-assembled) like:

Diese Woche im Angebot: appels, peren und sinasappels

Hans

U mean, U write your translation into workspace, across finds a matched TM from the bank and translates with U.
Yeah, me too! I agree.

U must be happy, if across is able to find something in regular way!

If U see an across around there with that "anomaly",
let me please me know it! I take it!

Cheers

P.s. U can find that specification maybe in star transit!

How about the pre-translation analysis? Oct 13, 2010

Hello Hans, I usually don't work with term bases but all my translations in Across are done with the one TM which I call my master TM, and prior to beginning any translation assignment I always click 'tools' > 'pre-translation" which gives a pop-up in which I click 'search'. This gives an analysis which I subsequently save. Perhaps this might help?

It is not possible this way Oct 19, 2010

It is not possible to "pretranslate" from crossTerm.
But when working in crossDesk you can use ctrl + 1 (2, 3, ...) to insert terms sequentially.
