crossBox won't start

I have a problem with crossBox -- it won't start. I am running Across v5.3 on Windows XP SP3. It is the first time I have tried to use it. No messages or error messages are displayed. I have contacted Across Support for help. Anyone have any ideas on this?

...this problem will be fixed with the next v5.3 hotfix.

Across Systems have released patch 50746 which fixes this problem.
