How to insert a tag

I deleted a tag in the original that I am trying to reinsert into the original.

When I go into crossDesk context menu I can choose the tag and insert it. But only into the translation and not the original. Also, the shape of the tag is wrong- instead of a rectangle one of the sides is pointed. There are two tags instead of one...

When I hover over the tag I see [across_pi]ACE 7[across_pi], so what I'm looking for now is the source code of the original if there is such a thing and repair it from there. Of course the brackets aren't square, but the less than/greater than brackets which don't appear so I have replaced them with square brackets.

Or maybe there's another more obvious way of repairing an original?

Would be grateful for any tips ...
