What is the right way to do software screen shots with CAT tools?
Thanks,

Alt + Print Nov 21, 2004

Alt + Print copies a screenshot of the active window into the clipboard from any Windows application.

till now I held the monitor over my scanner, but this way it is better

The question is, why learning Catalyst before simple Windows commands?

Print + MS Paint Nov 22, 2004

Print without Alt copies a screenshot of the whole screen into the clipboard.
But you will need a simple image processor like MS Paint to remove the parts of the screen which are not relevant.

On the other hand I get the impression that you do not really want to make any screenshot, you just want to apply Catalyst.
In this case I can only say RTFM (read the manual).

Use Snag IT (http://www.techsmith.com), the best screen capturing tool the money can buy. Automatic workflow, dozens of output types supported, capturing scrolling windows and pop-up menus, include/exclude mouse pointer, even a Studio for ediing screenshots. All for 40 USD.

Screen Capture v1.4.7 Nov 22, 2004

I use Screen Capture v1.4.7.
It's not the newest tool but freeware and extremely easy to use.

The only link I found was this one:
