Books By Ayman Al Zawahri

are there any English translations of the Egyptian doctor's books available? I've seen the excerpts on fas.org and the IDF website of two books Knights Under The Prophet's Banner and Faith And Islam Devotion and they look like interesting books. Just curious if all of the pages were translated or if anybody knows this. My e-mail is [email protected] thanx

English Translations - Doubtful Nov 4, 2003

Greetings.

For various reasons, it seems doubtful that any of the books and articles by Dr. Ayman Al-Zawahari has been translated fully into the English, at least by sources in the US or Canada.

While a few of the better-stocked Arabic bookstores here in southern California carry a few of his original books and monographs, demands has reportedly been very slow, and most of that stock is gathering dust.

you're prolly right about the doubtful part -I have read on fas.org that it was the CIA foriegn broadcast info service that did some of the translations as well as the magazine (Al Hayat?) that published excerpts of the memoirs... but I don't know who did the translations for the IDF site at www.idf.il/newsite/english/0113-1.stm

http://www.jarirbooks.net/ (based in southern California) may be one good site to visit and query first.

The International Book Centre in Michigan ( http://www.ibcbooks.com/flash.html ) may also be worthwhile to visit and search.

More likely that some published Arabic books by Al-Zawahri are available on, or via links inside, Arabic-language websites.
