Off topic: change of user name

Dear All,
I recently noticed that my user name was confusing to some, or even to most.
So, from now on I'll be (previously kalila).
Although the name was inspired from Ibn al-Muqaffaa's translation work, yet I failed to notice that kalila was the male sibling all along!
Oh Dear! Who said 'to err is human'?!
A mistake like that could get me fired!

Hi Randa,

The name does not matter, I found Kalila nice, Randa is very nice too... The most important thing is that you are a nice person. Even if you decide to rename you "Hildegund" now or another name which I find awful, it would not change your personality and it would be all right.

yes a real given name does not matter much; and, a chosen username should not be confusing.

Dear Randa,
you could use your full real name (or set it as visible, selecting this option in your profile page) regardless of the nickname or 'user name' usef for your login.

If you opt for displaying the real name, the only place where 'randa2' (or other nick) will appear is your profile, and its only use would be for your login.

I specify this detail (althought it may appear trivial to many site members) because many users start with a username and never discover how to set up their real name, when they decide to do it.

Dear Gianfranco,
Thank you for your message.
There is no problem now. I had a user name (kalila) that I found was best to change. So I used a combination of (randa-kalila).
Later, I stuck to (randa2). Yes, a full name would be a good option too.
