Hey,
I'm new to the whole freelance interpreting and translating business. Can anyone let me know what one must do to get ones credentials from a known organization.

A host of different ways Dec 10, 2003

There are a host of different ways to obtain credentials/qualifications as a translator/interpreter.

You can study translation/interpreting at a recognized university (I believe the Monterey Institute is a good school http://www.miis.edu/gsti-about-dean.html). You could also consider taking the ATA accreditation exam (http://www.atanet.org/bin/view.pl/285.html).

Good luck!
