Trying to check out a job posting on this site, I found the company\'s website password-protected, including the home page (index.htm).

I sometimes use the web to transfer unusual file formats. However, these files are in separate folders, and the password requirement does not restrict access to my regular website.

The website in question is:

www.thegeogroup.com

I have seen their ad (the \"magic job\"). Maybe you are expected to wave your magic wand and make the website appear .



If that\'s the case, you should invoice them for a \"magic surcharge\".



And make sure that their payment to you doesn\'t disappear in a cloud of smoke.

Hi Ursula,



I just tried the link you gave us and when they ask for user and password I just clicked on Ok, without filling up any of the two boxes.

It worked for me and I could access any of the links in their web page.

In the future I will disregard these password requests (too much compliance?).
