Hi Everybody,
I have entered the Dutch Freelancer of the Year Awards, to get some attention for the the importance of our work. And how even one single translator can play in important role in worldwide communication.
It might be a good idea to enter such competitions for any starting freelancer - just to get some more exposure, but it should also do wonders for experienced translators.

Hi Edward,
Could you please explain me the criteria, and is the choosen translator also the BEST Dutch translator? (how do you know?)
Sounds nice and good, although it makes me think of a overrated radio program in Holland where they are looking for the best teacher of the year!

@Robert, I think you just need to understand Dutch to be able to inscribe. In this first round there is no criteria of "who is the best translator" or any other profession - - it's just a question of who has the most points / friends...
Only at a later stage some criterias might be applied, ...
