Hello all,

I am considering joining TTIG (The Translators and Interpreters Guild), and was curious to get feedback from colleagues who may already be members. I am specifically interested in any comments regarding the Translators Referral Service and the group health insurance plans offered to members (i.e., are they reasonably priced?).

If anyone has specific info on health plans available to members in the state of Illinois, it will be much appreciated.

All in all it seems like an organization worth joining, and I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks much!

S.

Insurance...TTIG Mar 20, 2003

Dear Susana:

I cannot tell you the current insurance practice for TTIG member. But I do have experiences about some past practices, which I would like to share with you.

When I was a member, I joined the group insurance program. (I forgot by what company). After about a year, the insurance company suddenly dropped everyone from TTIG. I don\'t recall being given an explanation! I think this is an outrageous practice!! icon_mad.gif
Hope it helps!
