What subject-matter specialties do outsourcers find difficult to match with high-quality translators? I think this would be of general interest, but especially for those who are embarking on the studies necessary to acquire specialized skills. You might also mention the language-pairs for which you have found these specialties to be a problem.

People who can competently translate accounting-related documents and financial statements/notes from German into English are in great demand. I am de-emphasizing this specialty in my own business, partly because I don't enjoy it that much, and if you don't, it's very hard to keep up with the changes in the standards and the terminology that goes along with that. Quite lucrative if you like it, though!
