Germany: Paypal and the Finanzamt

Last month, I used Paypal for the first time to pay colleagues in the UK and Canada following collaboration in a project for one of my customers. My question is how to present this to the dreaded Finanzamt. Is it enough to have a copy of the invoice, a printout of the Paypal payment confirmation and a copy of the credit card invoice? Any info gratefully received!

Thanks,

Ian

Original invoice Aug 6, 2003

Hi Ian,
As usual, these questions should be discussed with a tax advisor.

That said, I wouldn't see a difference between a statement issued by Paypal and a bank statement - provided, however, that you have the original invoice.

Thanks Ralf,

Yes, of course these things should be discussed with tax advisors, but as mine is probably unfamiliar with PayPal and suchlike, I thought I would ask how other colleagues in Germany approach this before I talk to her about it.

Thanks for the tip.

All the best

Ian
