Please, stop asking for translation into French Canadian

This is something that has been annoying me for a while now. Jobs are posted on this site and elsewhere requesting translation into French Canadian. Please, consider that French Canadian is not a language--the language is called Canadian French. French Canadian is the name of a Francophone living in Canada. In other words, French Canadian is the name of a nation, not of a language.
Mixing up the two is much the same as calling native Americans Indians.
