Can anyone recommend a good, U.S. based, errors and omissions insurance provider of translators?

Has anyone have a particularly BAD experience with any such company, so I can stay away from them?

Any advice is most appreciated!

Thanks for your opinion Mats... Oct 24, 2003

...but at this point it is more than worth my while. Not only are we in a particularly litigious period in history, some VERY attractive small and independent business incentives require it.

However, you seem to have strong views on the subject, and frankly I found the arguments in the links you provided underwhelming. Is there a reason why you think having E&O insurance is a bad idea, or do you just think it it unnecessary?

Hello Jason,

Here is a link to the E&O plan offered through the ATA:

Anyone out there have a policy through Hays? I'd also be interested in hearing about your experiences.

Melissa
