I am looking for a reputable credit-collection agency in the US. Surely D&B is not the only one.
Is credit-collection state-bound and which are the laws it based on? Do they differ per state?

I have a problem with a US based customer (Arizona), and I would be glad for any information, pointers, websites and personal experiences, good or bad.
What to do and what to avoid, in general, USA wide, or specifically for Arizona.
I'm based in the United Kingdom.

Thank you in advance
Gianfranco

bbb.org Feb 11, 2004

D&B (www.dnb.com) is also recommended by ATA. AFAIK, they require 33% of the collected debt as a payment, although this info is not up-to-date.
A good site is www.bbb.org.
This is not a debt collection agency, but a general database of all U.S. businesses. If you are lucky, you get hold of valuable info such as who are registered owners of a company, etc.

Collection agency in the US Feb 11, 2004

This is an agency that takes between 25-30% of the amount due. They collect in the entire US, but also abroad.
You can place your claim also online.
Good luck collecting!
