Hi all!

I've been working as a translator for 3 years and I never had to sign a NDA before. I'm now in the process of getting a role in a big project involving a major company and they asked me to sign a NDA, but I don't really understand some of its parts (I'm not a US citizen and I'm not quite familiar with the US legal stuff).

Mainly I don't understand the meaning of one part of the signing section, it states: "Signed" (obvious), "Name" (obvious), and "TITLE". What does this "title" mean?

And also, in the beginning part, it states "THIS AGREEMENT is made on __________ [here goes the date?] by and between XXXXXXXXX, a translation agency with offices at XXXXXXX ("Company") and _____________ ("Contractor") [my name I guess], at ________________. [what goes here?]

If you could help me with these topics I'd be more than thankful!!

THANKS!

Martin

Filling out some data on an NDA May 17, 2005

Here goes:
"Signed" (obvious), "Name" (obvious), and "TITLE". What does this "title" mean?
Title = job title / function within the company, if any.
In your case, I'd simply mention 'freelance translator'.

And also, in the beginning part, it states "THIS AGREEMENT is made on (DATE) by and between XXXXXXXXX, a translation agency with offices at XXXXXXX ("Company") and (YOUR NAME) ("Contractor"), at (YOUR ADDRESS-LOCATION).

Good luck!
