Good morning,

My question is to the translators/interpreters working in the US: how much do you charge for mileage working for an agency or direct client?

All I know is that this additional charge starts from more than 15 miles distance - and in my case this is going to be about 30 miles one way.

Thanks in advance,
Bella

Actually, we don't get to establish this one rate, the law does.

Actually, you may charge whatever you wish. But on your income tax you may only deduct for expense purposes what the IRS allows, which is not normally defined until early next year.

If you charged over that amount, then the extra amount would be income.
