Ways/places to promote your business website?

Hello,

I've recently set up my freelance company's web site. (And am quite pleased with it, by the way.)

Now I am wondering whether those of you Prozians who have a website advertise it on the web. To win new business, that is. On some specialty-based sites/forums/portals or elsewhere? Any ideas will be appreciated.

Advertise your website on all your stationery and particularly your business cards.

This was the advice of an IT consultant specialised in websites for small businesses, given during a business conference.
I think it is a good idea. Your website address must become part of your business details.

I already do include my website address on my business cards. I believe it's part of my business identity as much as my mailing address.

I was thinking more about where to advertise my website on the web itself. (Or using other alternatives that work.)

The best place IMHO is to advertise your own web page on your ProZ.com profile page, which in my experience is the best place to advertise yourself.
