Yesterday's (9 April 2007) Financial Times contains a quite lengthy (half-page) profile of Liz Elting and Phil Shawe, the founders of Transperfect. We always said the company was an MBA project on speed, and here's the proof of the pudding.

An interesting insight into what motivated them to establish what's become one of the world's largest translation companies. Not very much on translating, though, or on the translators who actually generate the value in the first place...

Transperfect now in top 5 by revenue Apr 10, 2007

Don and Renato rated Transperfect no. 4 by revenue among the North American/European translation companies in 2006, and the largest privately held LSP:

(presumably L-3 has now dropped out of the list, but it could return if its appeal is upheld).
