I guess this is something very basic. I would like to import an Excel file of strings (source language in one column, target language in the next column) in my TM. What shall I do?
Thanks in advance.

See this link ( To export in Multiterm) Jul 7, 2003

and follow instruction....
Seems complicated but it's easy once you've done it.
Don't forget one thing: in your TM if the language is with a capital E and you put in the first column in your excel document.... it won't work.

There is a great free macro available online... Jul 7, 2003

Hi Laura,
there is a great macro available for free at Cat_convert
Once you have downloaded it you only need to open your file with this macro and choose Export to TWB memory from the Tools menu in Excel.

T-Window / WinAlign Jul 7, 2003

two possibilities:

1. Use T-Window to create a multiterm import file

2. Save source and target text in two winword files and use winalign to create a translation memory import file.
