Hi colleagues.

I have an xml file which i want to translate with trados tools.

A message displays stating setting files invalid or not found.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance!

DTD settings Jul 15, 2002

In TagEditor, you have to specify the DTD settings by choosing the valid ini file for your working files. If the default doesn\'t do the trick, it\'s better to let the client know about it.

Get the definitions from your customer Jul 15, 2002

The TagEditor comes with standard settings for HTML and XSL; usually these don\'t work for XML. The reason is inherent in the usage of XML which allows for customised definitions.

If you\'re unsure as to how to set up a DTD file, contact Trados support (let\'s hope you have a support agreement...): they can create the required .ini file for you (provided your customer comes up with some definitions).

This problem is the same as mine Oct 22, 2010

I know this is an old thread, but, the problem here is the same. I opened the xml file in Studio 2009 and it showed no error messages, so, is it safe to translate the file in Studio? and shall I get a bilingual xml file by that?

Your answers would be appreciated.
