Pootle is PO based, but it can import and export the PO flavour of XLIFF. Pootle is meant as a translation server, but I had managed to install it on MS Windows without much hassle.

As with all things that are server based, there is a learning curve if you're the administrator.

The GUI has the same role in translation tools as in all other software. It enables a user who is not a programmer to interact with the computer.

any chance to try it? Sep 15, 2007

Hi Samuel!

Is there, by any chance, some demo installation of Pootle around? I'd really like to have a look. It's amazing what open source fans can do

István
