Salutacions.

D.

Here is the original Apr 28, 2009

Pot ser l'original t'ajudarà a entendre'l millor:

"At first I started back, unable to believe that it was indeed I who was reflected in the mirror; and when I became fully convinced that I was in reality the monster that I am, I was filled with the bitterest sensations of despondence and mortification."

Typo alert Apr 28, 2009

Diu abans "I started back" - que sí vol dir "sorprès" ).

no typo Apr 28, 2009

definitivament no és cap error tipogràfic May 25, 2009

Hola!

CORPRENDRE
V TR Captivar el cor d'algú.

Castellà: cautivar FIG, conquistar FIG

Anglès: to captivate, charm

Francès: charmer, ravir, captiver

Alemany: bezaubern, packen

Salut!

Montse

If it really is corprés... May 26, 2009

...then IMHO the context is all wrong. Read the original which I have reproduced in this debate. The monster is certainly not "charmed" or "captivated" at his appearance. He is horrified!

En espanyol... May 26, 2009
