Hi all, In the last questions we are moving in the direction of filtering notifications and access to the questions to users who have declared the corresponding field among the "expert" fields in their profiles. See more Hi all, In the last questions we are moving in the direction of filtering notifications and access to the questions to users who have declared the corresponding field among the "expert" fields in their profiles. A new feature about to be released will be that of the "related fields". This means that a question will have a specific field of expertise but may have related fields that will be also included in the filter (notifications and access to the question). For instance a question with primary field "telecommunications" may also be related to "computers: software" and to "Computers: systems, networks" This will be only relate to notifications and access (and in the future to searches in the glossary), but the points will be assigned to the primary field. Another novelty will be that when a profile owner adds a new "specialty" or "working" field of expertise, then (s)he will be blocked for 3 days to participate in glossary-building questions that are filtered by that particular field of expertise. This aims to preventing users from modifying their profiles in order to "follow" the specialties requested in the questions. Dear members, You are kindly invited to test the new glossary-building KudoZ (GBK) glossaries. This option can be reached by going to the KudoZ tab at the top of the page and selecting GBK glossary. See more Dear members, You are kindly invited to test the new glossary-building KudoZ (GBK) glossaries. This option can be reached by going to the KudoZ tab at the top of the page and selecting GBK glossary. The GBK questions are from English into other languages but, since they are based on concepts, it is possible to perform a term search among languages such as Chinese to Hungarian and vice versa. It is also possible to consult language glossaries, selecting a language and field of expertise to view all the terms entered for that combination. Once a term is displayed, it is possible to compare it with the term entry in other languages. Only languages which have glossary entries are shown in the search menu. This is a new program, so the volume of terms is still relatively small, but expected to grow significantly. Please consider participating in the GBK program to show and share your expertise. Han Li, I think you are right although I "do not meet the criteria to answer and peer grade on this question". Han Li wrote: Enrique wrote: Right. I don't think it's appropriate to 'exclude' 'non-specialists' from answering or peer grading answers just because they don't claim to be a 'specialist' in a field. As everyone can claim to be a 'specialist' in a certain field, this rule is not so useful to 'filter' out potentially irrelevant answers. Han Li wrote: Enrique wrote: Right.
