Well then-that creates a rather deep credibility hole out of which the EC must dig, now doesn't it? But, as always, there are two sides to every story, so we will watch closely to see what fairy tales the EC concocts in a vain attempt to debunk the long-held beliefs of the former CEO of MySQL, the unequivocal statement of the CEO of Ingres, ***the open-source record itself***, ***the public-record status of the MySQL code***, and the unbiased and blistering opinion of Gartner distinguished analyst Feinberg, all of which indicate that--at least in this case--the EC couldn't ***find its own backside*** with two hands, a flashlight, and a map. But it's also worth noting that this whole sorry case is about more-much, much more-than the anti-capitalist efforts of some Brussels busy-bodies attempting to comprehend and interact with the business world. Whether you love Oracle or hate it, it's pretty grim to see the real-world damage that all this EC nonsense is inflicting on Oracle, which in its effort to acquire Sun has done everything the law requires and everything that Sun executives, board members, and shareholders demanded. Imagine that the company being abused as a protectionist pawn was not Oracle but instead your own company-you know, the one whose stock price will largely determine when or if you can retire?

原句 "... the anti-capitalist efforts of some Brussels busy-bodies attempting to comprehend and interact with the business world."
因此综合来看, 整个这个句子翻得不够准确 - But it's also worth noting that this whole sorry case is about more - much, much more - than the anti-capitalist efforts of some Brussels busy-bodies attempting to comprehend and interact with the business world.

"... which in its effort to acquire Sun has done everything the law requires and everything that Sun executives, board members, and shareholders demanded."

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/busybody

busybody
noun
an officious or inquisitive person

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/officious

officious
–adjective
1. objectionably aggressive in offering one's unrequested and unwanted services, help, or advice; meddlesome: an officious person.
2. marked by or proceeding from such forwardness: officious interference.

Disclaimer: BTW, I'm solely giving my opionion on the style of the language used in this paragraph, not in any way expressing any thoughts on either side of the argument. I'd like to make that abundantly clear

You have no specific dog in this fight. ^_^
