我现在一般不做试译，除非是有稿件，而且和潜在客户商定好价格，一旦试译通过，即施行此大概价格，为了确定客户不会给我不会接受的低价，否则试译通过有什么用，还是白费力气。
（在此规定未严格施行之前）不久又碰了个钉子。起的包还不小。给某小有名气的国际翻译公司做的免费试译被认为不合格。

测试内容，应该不会是什么需要保密的东西。不妨贴出，请这里的高人指点迷津。
实施例1 Embodiment 1
本实施例说明本发明聚对苯二甲酸丙二醇酯薄膜复合成的叠层膜的抗水汽渗透性、挠性和翘曲度优于多层聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯薄膜复合形成的叠层膜，抗水汽渗透性与TPT®背板基本相当，挠性和翘曲度优于TPT®背板。
This embodiment will illustrate that the present invention of the (poly trimethylene terephthalate) PTT laminated film performs better than its PET counterpart in terms of vapor impermeability, flexibility and warpage; its vapor impermeability is about equal to a TPT® back sheet, while flexibility and warpage are better than TPT ® back sheet.
用上述方法测定上面制得的本发明叠层膜的水蒸气透过率、弯曲模量和翘曲度，结果分别为1.3 g/m2/day、1553 MPa和2.7厘米。
The laminated film of the present invention is subjected to tests as described above to obtain the water vapor transmittance rate, flexural modulus and warpage, which are respectively 1.3 g/m2/day, 1553 MPa and 2.7 cm.
将所述叠层膜与厚度为500微米的乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯共聚物包封层热压在一起后，用上面方法进行叠层膜的湿热老化实验，即测试其与乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯共聚物包封层的附着力，结果为57 N/cm。
The laminated film described above is hot pressed with a encapsulation layer of ethylene - vinyl acetate copolymer of 500 microns in thickness, before a thermal aging test as described above is applied to it, i.e. measuring its adhesion strength to the said encapsulation layer, and the result is 57 N / cm.

This embodiment of the present invention is a modification of the first embodiment in which only the laminated film is replaced by the polymer laminated film (modified by the present invention) made according to the above method.
用上述方法测定该聚合物叠层膜的水蒸气透过率、弯曲模量和翘曲度，结果分别为0.9 g/m2/day、1896 MPa和3.0厘米。
The polymer laminated film is subjected to tests as described above to obtain the water vapor transmittance rate, flexural modulus and warpage, which are respectively 0.9 g/m2/day, 1896 MPa, and 3.0 cm.

说明人家还是基本肯定你的能力的。但你这样不谦虚，你将又失去一个机会。呵呵。
不过，以“普通高校毕业生”和“清华毕业生”作比喻，两者同时应聘一个工作岗位，前者往往竞争不过后者，尽管前者的面试表现貌似不错。

我前天说过，“我认为应正确对待试译。即使试译没通过，也没必要与客户翻脸”。依我看，客户所说的“随着你能力长进，我们可能联系你”，未必是外交辞令。因为对于这种难度很高的专利中译英，你的报价 USD 0.08 还是很低、很有吸引力的。再说，你又主动降到了 USD 0.06。客户一时不用你，不等于你永远没有机会。比如说，翻译社可能会嫌试译水平最高的人价格太高，或者脾气太牛；或者被选中的翻译也可能会嫌客户给价太低或因太忙而不接项目。在这种情况下，客户也可能会与“坐在后排等着”的翻译联系。你声称让客户“坐在后排等着”，等于是与客户绝交，此外无任何意义。须知，翻译行业“坐在后排等着”的往往是翻译，而不是翻译社或最终客户。不过话说回来，作为一名翻译，即使拿到自己不擅长的项目，也未必会感到很舒服（如果还算不上受罪）。

如果有难度的项目分为较难、难、很难、超难，这个测试文件恐怕是在难和很难之间，不能算超难。
我做不了那些 beyond difficult 的项目。就是第一句你看两三分钟都不懂说什么的或分不清结构的。这种文件必须谦虚地拒绝。
现在笔译毕竟不是过去的纸上翻译，实际上是电子辅助翻译。网上可查的资料铺天盖地。几乎让一个译者很难有借口说做不了，虽然不是所有领域，但可以适用大多数领域的情况。但这里有一个情况就是效率。熟悉的领域，效率要高些。因此对于客户和译者都合算。但是如果客户一时间找不到某领域的专家译者，也可能找上你，你看着眼前的利益往往也很难拒绝，另外还有挑战自己和虚荣心等等都会让你想一试。

我花了两三分钟看了你译文中的第一句。我想就此请教你几个小问题：
1. 中国专利中的“实施例”到底相当于英文专利中的 Embodiment，还是 Example?
2. 到底应该是你所译的 "the present invention of the (poly trimethylene terephthalate) PTT laminated film”，还是 "the (poly trimethylene terephthalate) PTT laminated film of the present invention”? 如果你所译的是正确的，那么 "its PET counterpart" 和 "its vapor impermeability" 中的 it 是否是指 "the present invention"？
3. 你译文中的 vapor 能否理解为除水汽以外的其它蒸气，例如 organic vapor?
4. 请恕我理解能力差。看了你的译文，我连原文都看不大懂了。 “抗水汽渗透性与TPT®背板基本相当”是否应该理解为叠层膜的“抗水汽渗透性与TPT®背板的抗水汽渗透性基本相当”？ “挠性和翘曲度优于TPT®背板”是否应该理解为“挠性和翘曲度优于TPT®背板的挠性和翘曲度”？
