国内比较好的翻译公司给客户的报价一般是在0.08/0.10USD,其中包括校稿的价格。

我想你也可以按这个标准给客户开价。

直接客户的好处:付款快,不用担心赖帐,大多数时间比较充裕,相互交流比较容易
缺点:单个客户业务量少,很大比例源稿错误率高,正常情况下责任比较重些

我给直接客户做的业务,花的时间往往比给翻译公司的多,有几个原因:
1)直接客户关注的核心是质量,一般愿意给较多时间。
2)责任也大些,你应该承担除DTP外翻译公司的全部责任(翻译+终校)。客户收到稿后一般自己也会很仔细地校一两遍(毕竟是自己的东西),但他们毕竟不是专业人士,只能找出明显的typo,或虽然能看出翻译上的问题,但不容易自己解决。
3)交流容易些,有疑问时可以交流,客户非常愿意反馈。
4)直接客户往往是小客户,源稿可能不是专业人员写的,源稿错误率比较高,理解起来有些难度。

翻译公司存在的主要目的是赚钱,时间效率是它们非常关注的因素。翻译公司虽然也关注质量,至少声称关注质量,但给的时间比较紧张,另外少了和最终客户交流的机会和时间。翻译公司往往不愿意花时间交流,你花他们的时间越多,对于他们而言,就是找你的成本越高。

你可以综合成本和优缺点后报价。
