一点儿"反馈" (new term I learned since I've been here) Aug 27, 2005

redred,

I'm afraid there's a mistake in the translation of "Were you addressed appropriately?". Here "addressed" means "spoken to", or "greeted".

FWIW, here's an example of this usage:

http://www.lawa.org/docs/board_agenda/boardagenda_061404.pdf

(Each public speaker will have three minutes to politely address the Board.)

P.S. I hope this kind of feedback is useful, and not seen as a nuisance.

可是,客户给香港方面的客户看后告诉我“This is not Cantonese”。

多谢wherestip和Last Hermit的reference.

Oh, no. Not me myself. 我爸是广州人(番禺). 所以以前在国内户口本上我们籍贯填的都是广州。 再往前算,祖籍却是江浙一带了 (Or so I was told)。 也是因老祖宗当官被派到广东而迁移。 到我爸爸那代他们还都视自己为外地人。

美国这儿的老广是比较扎堆儿的。 不会粤语,到纽约 Mott Street 去玩儿都是吃不开的。

R18. 有冇话畀你知,果啲装置要换(座位/镜/空调开关/收音机平台等)?

呢句嘅理解有小小問題,應該係:有冇講俾你聽,部份零件有可能已經換咗?
